This campaign highlighted the opportunities that natural gas drilling was bringing back to Western Pennsylvania, with jobs not only in the energy industry, but also in manufacturing and among growing communities where more young adults were settling down and raising their families, as opposed to moving to distant cities for employment. The benefits of the country’s increasing energy independence, thanks in part to natural gas drilling in Western Pennsylvania, was a complimentary message of the campaign.
